For Kaylie, this project was deeply personal. While pregnant with her third child, she initially hesitated to take on such an ambitious endeavor. But just as she was considering the project, her family moved into their new home—a farmhouse with a perfect studio space for her to create. “It felt like God was inviting me to do something different,” she says. “The process has been so sweet, especially as I’ve just welcomed my own son.”
A Community-Driven Vision
The Nativity Carriage Rides are the culmination of collaboration and vision from Millersburg’s vibrant community. Victoria Benson, President of Mustard Seed Hill, envisioned a way to highlight local talent while deepening the holiday experience.
“Christmas at Mustard Seed Hill is all about bringing people together to celebrate community, tradition, and creativity,” Victoria says. “By featuring artists like Kaylie and local businesses like WhyKnot Carriages, we’re creating something truly special that reflects the heart of Millersburg.”
Lisa Campbell of WhyKnot Carriages echoes this sentiment. “We’ve always loved the Christmas lights at Mustard Seed Hill, and being able to share this tradition with others is an honor,” Lisa shares. “Adding Kaylie’s beautiful Nativity paintings takes the experience to another level. It’s like stepping into a storybook.” |
