 Business Owner Joins Women’s Business Center of Kentucky in New Lexington Business Coach Role

LEXINGTON KY. (October 10, 2024) – The Women’s Business Center of Kentucky (WBC) today announced Lexington resident and veteran Michelle Smock as the organization’s new Lexington Business Coach. In this role, Smock will support the growth of female and minority small business owners in the greater Lexington area by providing coaching and mentorship.

 

This role is funded by an Economic Development Partnership Services grant from the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government.

 

“As a seasoned entrepreneur, Michelle has a unique perspective of the challenges small business owners face,” said Devanny King, Executive Director of WBC. “We are grateful to the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government for funding this hire, and we are thrilled to welcome Michelle to the team.”

 

Smock brings 15 years of entrepreneurial experience to the WBC. Before joining WBC, Smock served as the co-owner and coach of Cultivate Accounting, where she consulted with small business owners on best practices for launching a business. She was also the creator and host of a podcast “Small Business Bestie,” which showcases stories of women entrepreneurs and owned Drift Therapeutic Spa & Float OKC.
