Community Ventures is pleased to share an exciting new collaboration with the City of Lexington that brings the city’s Art on the Town kiosks to The MET on Saturdays throughout the year.
Beginning this season, mobile artist kiosks—familiar to many from Thursday Night Live and Saturday Farmers Market events—will activate the Town Branch Trail directly in front of The MET, extending down Midland Avenue and creating a vibrant, walkable arts corridor connecting studios, galleries, coffee shops, and restaurants.

As the owner of The MET, Community Ventures sees this as a natural extension of our mission: supporting artists, strengthening creative economies, and activating place through thoughtful, community-centered development. With steady foot traffic already generated by on-site businesses, the addition of Art on the Town kiosks introduces a new layer of visibility and opportunity for local artists and makers.
We’re especially proud to highlight that ArtHouse Gallery, located inside The MET, will participate in the activation. ArtHouse Gallery is part of Art Inc, Community Ventures’ arts incubator designed to support working artists through space, exposure, and professional development. Art Inc, led by Mark Johnson, exists to ensure that artists are not only celebrated, but sustained—creatively and economically.
In addition to city-provided kiosks, participating artists will have the flexibility to set up their own tables, tents, or booths, encouraging a diverse, market-style experience that reflects the range of creative work in Lexington.
Community Ventures looks forward to seeing The MET and the Town Branch Trail come alive in new ways this year—connecting artists with audiences, ideas with opportunity, and creativity with community.
