Shirie Hawkins Steps Into Role as President of Lending for Lexington-Based Non-Profit Community Ventures


LEXINGTON, KY (January 28, 2025) Lexington based non-profit Community Ventures (CV) has announced that long-time associate Shirie Hawkins has transitioned to the position of President of Lending from her former roll as President of Everything Equity.

 

Hawkins began her career at CV in 1997 before to moving to Community Trust Bank and eventually to the Small Business Development Center, where she served both as a lender. In 2021, Hawkins returned to CV where she has successfully assisted businesses to launch and grow.

 

As President of Lending, Hawkins will oversee funding sources and lending staff for the Women’s Business Center, microloans, SBA 504 loans, small business expansion loans and mortgage loans and servicing.

 

“I am excited for this new opportunity and look forward to working closely with my colleagues as we further CV’s mission of creating new businesses, jobs and homeowners across the Commonwealth,” Hawkins said.

 

Hawkins succeeds Brenda Weaver, who now serves as CV’s President of Disaster Recovery.
