2/24/25 – Representatives from Traditional Bank and Community Ventures (CV) gathered to commemorate the bank’s investment in ongoing revitalization efforts in Kentucky. The presentation took place at the recently renovated The Miller & the Teller restaurant located at 501 Main Street in Millersburg, set to open in Spring 2025.
The Community Development Financial Institutions Fund awarded Traditional Bank $189,795 as part of the Bank Enterprise Award Program (BEA Program). The bank donated the entirety of the funds to Community Ventures, a nonprofit organization who strengthens communities and improves the overall quality of life for Kentuckians by supporting job creation, small business ownership, and home ownership.
“Traditional Bank has a proven track record of bringing economic hope and help to Kentuckians in distressed communities,” said Kevin Smith CEO of Community Ventures. “We are grateful for their commitment to ensuring all Kentuckians have access to financial services and are honored to partner with them in this work.”
Community Ventures was founded in 1982 and has been named Mircolender of the Year by the Kentucky Small Business Administration for the past 21 years.
Traditional Bank President, Dan Mason said, “Traditional Bank understands that sound economic growth relies on the health of the community as a whole. As a locally-owned bank we will never stop working to advance our cities, towns and neighborhoods in ways that benefit the individuals, families and businesses who inhabit them. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Community Ventures who shares those same values.”
Traditional Bank is an independent, community bank with 20 banking centers in eight Kentucky counties and approximately $2.34 billion in assets. They have been awarded a five-star rating by Bauer Financial, the nation’s leading independent bank rating firm.
