$8,082,429 in NMTC funds for $8,466,886 project with 100 Jobs
A west end kitchen incubator. This 13,000 square foot facility repurposed the much-loved Jay’s Restaurant, which had been vacant for several years. Chef Space offers multiple food preparation and processing stations, access to capital, storage space, and training opportunities for its members. Since opening in November 2015, over 65 business have called Chef Space ‘home’, with over 450 full and part-time jobs created.
Chef Space is the first phase in a larger plan to thoughtfully revitalize the Russell Neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky.
