Revitalizing Henderson, KY with Business and Housing Opportunities
In 2023, the historic Imperial Building in Henderson, KY underwent a $6.2 million renovation project supported by Dudley Ventures as the primary investor. This 37,000 sq. ft. redevelopment project revitalized the downtown area by transforming the building into a vibrant mixed-use space, fostering both business growth and housing opportunities.
The renovation included the restoration of four key businesses—a Realtor, Pharmacy, and Chiropractor—within the Imperial Building, ensuring that essential services remain accessible to the community. Additionally, the project created 12 market-rate apartments and 4 subsidized apartments, addressing the need for diverse housing options in the area.
This initiative generated 42 full-time equivalent (FTE) jobs and employed 100 construction workers throughout the renovation. The Imperial Building is now a cornerstone of Henderson’s economic revitalization, blending commercial and residential spaces to support the local economy and enhance community life.
