Variety in affordable rental options is crucial to a community’s ability to provide its residents access to safe, stable, and affordable housing, regardless of their income, and many rural communities struggle to provide enough housing for residents. In response to this need, Community Ventures recently embarked on a community revitalization project in Millersburg, KY. One of our projects is construction of the town’s first new home in nearly two decades. By bridging housing gaps through new construction and the purchase and renovation of existing properties, Community Ventures has opened up more rental opportunities for Millersburg residents, providing underserved Kentuckians with a new pathway for building assets in their communities.

The MET is a mixed-use space at the corner of Midland and East Third Streets in Lexington’s East End community. This space is home to several new services and retail offerings, as well as residential units. Plans for a new grocery store, a restaurant, and additional companies expanding into the space, the MET promises job opportunities and increased economic growth in the East End neighborhood.
